Why we never fly in flowers

The flower industry runs almost entirely on refrigerated air freight — most supermarket and even most florist flowers are grown in South America or East Africa, flown to an auction house in the Netherlands, then flown again to a wholesaler near you. By the time a rose reaches a vase it has often traveled further than the person buying it will travel all year.

We buy everything from three growers within a two-hour drive, and most of it from our own half-acre behind the studio. That means our selection is genuinely dictated by what’s growing right now, not by what a refrigerated supply chain can deliver on demand — which is also why you’ll never see peonies from us in November.

Begin with a bouquet, not a catalogue.

Flowers for this week, or every week.

Order a one-time bouquet, or set up a standing weekly delivery — we'll build it fresh from whatever is in season.
